Ayahuasca Visions | Ila (Arbol Magico) by Pablo Amaringo

Ila  (Arbol Magico) by Pablo Amaringo

Ila by Pablo AmaringoIla is the name given to magical trees that uproot themselves and fly up into the sky. As they go they become steamships like the acero punta or the manchay buque (splendid ship) from space.
When shamans walk along a tree as you see here, they can defy the restraints of physical laws such as gravity. Thus they are able to visit other worlds, galaxies and constellations. As the ila flies away it makes a terrific thundering noise that many find unbearable.

This beautiful painting  is featured in the book ‘The Ayahuasca Visions of Pablo Amaringo‘  published by Inner Traditions 2011. Authors Howard G Charing and Peter Cloudsley.
